You have ordered 100 rolls of toilet paper from the Internet as you hate to buy this at your grocery store. At the promised date of delivery you receive only 99 rolls, the last one arrives 3 days later. You probably will not miss the last roll these 3 days. However, you can complain that the OTIF is only 99%. OTIF measures how much of your order is really on time.

 

OTIF (On Time, In Full) is a Lean Metric describing the success of delivering exactly what the customer ordered, at the time it was supposed to be delivered.
